Ms. Tague represents individuals with varying degrees of wealth who are concerned about ensuring that the disposition of their property is consistent with their desires, while simultaneously minimizing transfer costs and taxation. Ms. Tague’s estate planning practice incorporates the latest planning strategies as well as more traditional methods to accomplish her client’s goals. In tandem with estate planning Ms. Tague’s practice includes probate and trust administration. She has extensive experience representing estates and other interested parties in matters involving probate and trust administration, including the filing of federal estate tax returns and the establishment of conservatorships and guardianships of the person or estate, as needed. Ms. Tague is on the Orange County Superior Court panel for appointment as guardian ad litem for both minors and incapacitated persons and is regularly appointed by the Court.
Due to her extensive experience dealing with taxation and other legal issues related to the diversity of legal entities available under state and federal law (corporations, trusts, etc.), Ms. Tague is also sought out by clients facing non-probate decisions involving corporate formations, the selection of the appropriate operating legal entity, and the establishment and maintenance of non-profit status.
